Updating the Wiki

I need the info from Rune though, and it's probably best I get everything he's already given me done before I ask him for more xD Though I could always bump it up on the priority list

for dunno which time i tell you - you try updating with bc2 server costs WHICH ARE DIFFERENT than our (bc1) costs. I sent you bc1 info ages ago. I'd really wish you don't just go deleting bc1 info and adding only the new server stuff. I don't want to start undoing your deletions.

Not sure why you refuse to even let me near this stuff and ignore the accurate bc 1 info.. if you'd be a bit more cooperative, you'd get admin rights etc, easily.

Fyyr, I never said you weren't allowed near it? I just found that some chunks of info I got from you were off from what I I had at the time, so I asked Rune for updated info. Though honestly I can't seem to find whatever it was that I thought was wrong back then, so it's entirely possible I made mistakes back then. I'll do my best to add on that information for both BC1 and BC2.

It's not like I'm cutting you off from updating the Wiki with your own work And I haven't deleted any building costs at all from the wiki yet, just added on more with the info I was given. All I've been doing is trying to add as much info as possible to the wiki, and so far I think I've done an okay job

As for "making the wiki my own project", I said that because at the time (and for the most part continuing on) there were very few edits being made by any other users.

Ok, my link to you (remember that?) has bc1 info, rune sent bc2 info mostly. Do you even have any bc1 info..?

About mistakes/incorrect info. Yea you just don't pay enough attention, and why should I give you any incorrect info ;/

If you delete stuff (which you have, check logs), what's the point to update if you'll redo it, that's my logic.

And yea I finally got impatient with some of info there >.<.

I haven't deleted a lot, especially not things BC1 specific.

No, I really haven't deleted much at all. Anything I've deleted was immediately replaced with updated info, unless I've missed something that I wasn't informed of.

As for the Unit Stats, I drew those from my own accounts. I said several months ago (possibly in this thread, if not elsewhere on the forums), I created new accounts so I'd have 1 in each race. I don't actually play the other ones, but they're useful for drawing info from.

AP was drawn from preexisting information on the wiki I believe. I can run through and update that for each race if you think it's off.

ap changes ever month or so, and depends on techs and stuff, so I think it's too much work to have it there.

oh stats, i have more info there then, wayyy more. You don't use that stats screenshot from forums?

Well previously it was for removing pages from categories, but I just realized that I do have that permission, it was just located differently from where I expected.

So really, don't have much need for it now.

I just did all of the BC1 information on the resource page. Resource Buildings page is now completed.

Now working on Gold Smelter

Nothing so sophisticated I type it all in manually, and arrow between boxes

I am a little skeptical of the numbers I just put in at the Gold Smelter page for BC2 though.

From the info from Runeslayer, it's Wood cost jumps from 234 at level 4 to 1838 at level 5. That doesn't seem right.

Putting it in until I can confirm that it needs fixed though

Looking back, something similar appears to happen with all resource buildings. They have 100% identical costs until Level 5, at which point they split off into hugely different numbers.

Is this an actual in game thing in BC2, or did a mistake get made?

I remember that it actually was identical until a cetain lvl and then huge differences kicked in.

Alright, thanks Claud. Guess BC2 has a big difference in that scenario.

If I have the time tonight I'll try to add a few more buildings. At the moment though, my wrist feels like it's about to fall off after all that numpad typing xD

Yup BC2 prices are correct and such a ripoff.

Btw added bc2's page to that googledoc just in case. i personally like all info in one place.

Yup, all buildings except smiths are getting their own pages.

What about the different styles of tables?

Old tables look ok in source mode (and easier to work with outside of wiki?), but even the background color is different, and all formatting... eg cc/barracks in buildings' page. What style should be default?

Ah well for now just dumping info there from main buildings page.

(though eww, color reference in each line O.o someone edited again.. ;/)

Make sure the devs distinguish from BC1 (Erevos) and BC2 (Olympus) when giving you info.

I couldn't really say anything about the different styles. I've just stuck with using the default wiki tables and copying the information by hand, as that's what looks best

I'm okay with redoing the tables if/when major updates change them.
