i am confused again, you said in other thread "Each battle difficulty has a different range. Wink" in context it meant that on easy, we would not find level 20 AI units if ours were also level 20. that AI unit level would have a range, with a min and max... that is the range you were talking about no?

i don't know exactly this is gonna play out, but since the level of the troops we face also defines our reward, i guess it will be mostly ok.

my worry is this, we progress in the game in these aspects:
-unit level
-number of units in battle
-types of units
-tech levels
-future stuff like the army banners?

what you seem to say is, we are fixing the game so that an easy battle will always be of similar "tuffness" no matter how you progress in the above, because we tweak the AI accordingly.  however, its compensated by giving better rewards, is this correct? for all of the above? no exceptions?

you put items apart saying that items will for sure make battles easier, but it will cost you gold if you over do them. fair enough.  i think its a good balance!

I am of the opinion that certain things like tech level should always make the battle easier, because its a bit strange to gain a tech level and then don't feel that the battles i do are less tuff and not just get 50 or 100 more gold per  battle. but either way, its fair.

The battle difficulties will have no lvl limits upwards but lvl minima. On normal least you will find is lvl 5, least on nightmare may be lvl 9, least on suicide is lvl 18. Potentially you are able to face lvl 20 units in any difficulty if you yourself are that great. However each difficulty will spawn differently equipped units. While easy AI will be common/naked, normal may have uncommons, hard may have rares, nightmare may have epics ... the gs score of AI will depend on the battle difficulty and additionally be modified by AI unit level. So while easy mode has a base of common/naked gear if you go in with lvl 20 units it may upgrade to uncommons/rares.

Thats what i have understood from all the posts.

You forgot to mention the following:

1) Battle difficulties also provide a reward modifier, so a kill in easy may generate x gold, but the same kill in Hard for example might be 1.5 times x.

2) Drop rate depends on the battle difficulty as well. The higher the battle difficulty the higher the drop rate both universally and rarity wise.

3) CO-OP rewards will be split among the victors depending on their contribution to the outcome of the battle. MVP will also provide a gold reward.

4) The level and the type of a destroyed unit dictates the base value of the reward. The more difficult a unit is to be destroyed, the higher the reward. Eg. A lvl 1 AI LI will generate a lot less than a lvl 5 AI HI.

I am sure there is something I am forgetting but I think I covered the most important points.

Maybe make it so that the tech level of the enemy units is based on the difficulty so that it still makes a difference when we get a tech level? I think that would be nice. for example +0 easy, +6 normal, +9 hard, +12 NM, +15 Insane, +18 Suicidal
