| I just wanted to tell my idea about adding different kind of units, I know this can cause easily a unbalance in the game is for that this is only a suggestion, my idea is, istant of adding new kind of units to barracks occupying all the space, devs can implement a change class sistem that leave players upgrade their units into a more powerful form with better stat and abilities, I will take for example human LI, when a player reaches hight level of tecnology research (weapon) (armor) and he have a highlevel LI 10+ recommended, the upgrade will give to that human player 2 options to choose a offensive class and a defensive class, the ofensive class can turn human LI in "gladiators" with a offensive ability that I want call "bloodrush" and make then attack faster and unbreakable, and the defensive class can be for example swordman with a parrying ability with similar or better properties than elderon shield but only work on melee.
If devs are interested I can tell ideas about this, if not at least I can give ideas about abilities for units (please only constructive criticism about the idea dont talk about the balance because I already know about that)
PD: My "blood rush" ability idea consist on get a temporal bonus in melee and strengh after killing a certain amounts of enemies. | |

| Perhaps, but that would leave many races OP and they would consistently be nerfed until "perfect." Additionally coops would need to be tuned to be harder, AP would most likely be greater, so barracks AP value would need to increase otherwise it just wouldn't be fair. | |

| The idea in general sounds good to me. Cause right now lvling your units beyond lvl 11 on erevos or lvl 12/13 on Olympus doesnt do you any good. At this stage you already have unlocked the units ability to its fullest and you are able to equip whatever set of gear you would like it to have.
Your bloodrush LI sounds an awful lot like LIA though. But the Idea of another evolutionary step for units beyond lvl 9 is great. | |

| Yes but remember this isnt only a change for LI this upgrade should be avalaible for all units Ranged LIA HI CAV and yes arty too, but talking about arty and ranged units, they dont need a tanky version, just be a (offensive version) a powerful ranged unit with great range and damage but very slow recharge like snipers, mortars etc. or a (fast reload anti infantry version) but with lower accuracy, low damage and short range like machine guns
and about blood rush not only can be for killing, can be for causing damage to the enemy like -15hp at level 1 -10hp at level 2 -5hp at level 3 this will dont have debuff like rage and duration should be higther or permanent, duration can be 20 secs at level 1 30 secs level 2 and 1 min level 3, and bonuses can be +10 melee & strenght at level 1, +20 melee strenght level 2 and 30+ melee strenght at level 3 making this ability bad at first levels but really useful at higther levels and after the time duration end, this unit need to cause that damage again to be able to use the ability again. | |

Also makes army comps too complicated.[/quote] Yes I know that, how I tell you this can cause a unbalace on units, this system should be implemented slowly and with test before adding this to the game, did devs have a place to can test different units in figthing to can see if they are OP, weak or balanced? but well adding those units can take a too loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time, for that this is a suggestion, devs decide if they adding it or not. this was to increase the variety of units in the game without using all space in barracks. | |

| Unit specialisation is a nice touch. As claud said, past lvl 9 units hardly change. Some tweaks at 12 15 18 would give some meaning to unit levels. Possibly a secondary passive skill or weapon proficiency. That would allow to choose between for example spear/sword/hammer (or racial weapons) and give 5% damage bonus vs certain enemy race or maybe something entirely different. The idea of optional unit "type change" at certain level isnt bad either, depending whether devs like the direction at all ^^. New unit wise flying units, special units and golems have been announced over the time. | |

| Some ideas...didn't put as much thought into this as I probably should. Criticism invited!
Suicide unit - Destroys itself and a percentage of the remaining troops/unit that are within range, including friendlies. (limit 1/army)
Brainwash - Upon impact, has a percentage chance of converting an opponent's units if such units fail a morale check, converted units are AI controlled.
Invigorate - Boosts a random/given stat of friendly units within a certain range, if/when unit is killed/gravely injured (1/2 initial health) enemy receives this boost.
Ambush - Unit can conceal itself among certain obstacles for X amount of time (single use/battle), moving this unit after activation disables concealment. Enemy units that meet concealed unit head-on take automatic losses and receive rearing penalties. (flank/rear of a concealed unit does not initiate penalties to either attacker or defender)
Pit Fall/Trap - A unit can build a trap (1 unit only, 1 trap/battle), enemy units that pass over trap lose a percentage of their troops/health per unit. Units that build traps suffer a penalty to melee/strength for duration of battle.
(Other ideas: Taunt, Vampirism, Assassinate, Reinforcements, High Ground....) | |
