I hadn't realized that Undead were going to be the highest ap units but it makes sense. I do remember DL HI being a lot of AP though so it may be close to Undead HI AP also.

It definitely makes sense for LI and LIA but I'm not exactly sure what the reasoning is for increasing HI AP above dwarven.

How does the AP increase for researches work?

Using +9/+9 since it's already in this thread...

If I count it as 3x+3 melee weapons and 3x+3 armour armours that is 3x4AP + 3x2AP for a total of 18 AP.
If I count it as a +9 melee weapon and a +9 armour armour, it's 11+7 for a total of 18 AP.

So a dwarf LI w/those researches should actually have a base AP of 49 not 50, HI 154 etc....

I know it's only a difference of 1. My question is this; armour isn't a great stat right now... is it being overvalued in AP from research? Armour from a weapon and armour from a research should contribute the same thing... Am I just makin an error? Plz correct lol...

The calculation of AP from researches goes like this (not 100% sure but i always seem to get it right so far). 3 armor cost 2 AP points.
For melee however the matter is a little more difficult. I can savely assume that +9 melee research costs 11AP. 12 melee costs 14 AP. And my best bet would be that 15 melee equals 18 AP.
