| So I've been upgrading my barracks this week Got new HI/Cav Go to equip my new HI with a hero, and I get a message "cannot equip a unit with a hero more than 2 levels higher"
WTF? Was this in the patch notes that I missed?
Whats the thinking behind this?
I have ALL my hero slots filled, to upgrade my monument would require like 4 days to get another hero. (I'm sure as HELL not dismissing one!)
This doesn't even make sense from a roleplay aspect, it makes complete sense for a great warrior to take a bunch of green recruits under his wing.
Now I'm left with NO hero possibility for my new HI until they're AT LEAST level 5--thats assuming none of my heroes level in that time.
Requiring high players to keep old equipment is fine, we dont have limits on old equipment. But forcing us to keep a low level hero ISN"T ACTUALLY POSSIBLE--Heroes level up, We basicly have to completely set aside a hero for ONLY newb units? and then keep getting another pair of upgrades--taking half a week... or longer with the boringly long (seriously--I barely play anymore) building upgrades to get a brand new hero?
STOP SCREWING WITH THINGS THAT DONT NEED SCREWED WITH! | |

| The reason behind this is because users were exploiting it by equipping lvl 1 units with high level heroes and doing PVP with them. As you can understand, the player with such an army had a great advantage over his opponent.

well, you could inform us of it... and maybe this restriction should only be for pvp battles, as helping training new units is somethign high level heroes could still be used for no? | |

| So just done my first co-op, does not seem any easier in fact more units than ever seemed to have spawned adding the fact that you just upped my armies base ap meaning I went in with one less unit than normal..... | |

This... entirely this--EVERY game with PVE and PVP components side by side have issues with what works in one, doesn't work in the other. Most have figured out how to balance this. Have some things that work in one, not work in the other! (Almost a circular answer, but so true) If you're worried about something occurring in PVP and it being imbalanced.... don't allow it in PVP. But please, understand, PVP is not the entirety of this game--Don't make all your changes around PVP. Personally, I'm not a fan of PVP in a lot of games, even more so in this one--no, I do not grudge those that enjoy it, we just have dissimilar tastes. So please, stop ONLY catering to the PVP aspect of the game when updates happen. PS--I saw the undead nerf, if you have a problem with me turning your recent updates into swiss cheese, take it out on me, not on my entire race! *looks for very splintery boards and dull rusty nails and begins constructing a cross* | |

This had nothing to do with you Bonez. This was a pretty major balance issue for a long time, I'm glad it's been addressed finally, if only partially. Also, your race still has the lowest AP LI/LIA/Heavies/Cavs by sometimes a significant margin, and your units are at least as strong as other races when adding in your number advantage (25 units in a squad). Undead are probably still OP (only a little bit) but I think no more nerfs are necessary. Better now would be to fix the remaining imbalance with boosts and not nerfs. | |
