No frags from breaking items!

I just broke 2 epic banners and 1 rare artifact and got 0 fragments from it.

It may also be useful to say that I had already previously broken atleast 20 other items prior to getting nothing.

Ahh I encountered the same thing some time ago! I was crafting lots of common items for achievement and one day I just went around breaking everything =p And quite a few times I got nothing back.
I informed a dev about it, no idea if he looked at it or not, he just said that items aren't supposed to give nothing ^^ But, eh, I figured, it applied only to commons anyway.

Horrible chance averaging to less than 1 frag? =p Bug? Maaaaybe just not displaying something? (venu, can you confirm that you got no frags? Though I think when people break a lot, they don't actually check if they got those frags after every item..)

Epics are expensive, it shouldn't happen.

Same, I had 300+ items crafted & game slowed down horribly (in crafting screen as it got an update to all 300+ items; often would crash flash)

So I broke all my commons & about half my uncommons (broke about 150 items).

I estimate about 5 of them returned "nothing".  So that's ~3% of nothing returned.

All the rares, epics & godlike's I have broken so far have all returned something (only about 15 of those, so too small a sample size to tell).

P.S.: After breaking half my items, the game goes faster & doesn't crash anymore.
