The Newbie Guide or How to run your city Guide

So, you chose your Faction and then you chose your Race...what's next?

As in the real world, the most important thing in Battle Conquest is resources. Resources, such as wood, stone, iron and gold are used for recruiting units, upgrading buildings, researching new technologies, healing your units and many other functions.

Obviously, the most important source of resources are the Resource Buildings. Your goal, in the beginning of the game, should be to upgrade your resource buildings. The higher their level is, the higher their production and their capacity will be. Each resource building has a specific capacity and when it is reached, then the building will stop producing resources. Therefore, it is vital to click on "Collect Resources" often, and before their capacity is reached, so you can achieve a continuous production flow.

As the war between the Forces of Light and the Forces of Darkness will not pause while you are improving your city's infrastructure and as both Factions will need every single army available, it is also vital to start attacking regions as soon as possible. You will not only help your Faction in its efforts to control or conquer a region but you will also gain gold and train your units by gaining experience in battle. Do not try to prove yourself in engaging in Hard or Nightmare difficulty right from the beginning, but instead choose Normal difficulty to get used to the game mechanics first. Make sure to recruit a Hero as soon as possible and place him in a unit, as Heroes can help in battle and will also provide a morale bonus to the unit. Morale is very important as low morale might cause your unit to flee!
