The biggest change I want to find if people are interested in or not
- Move Recommendations In-Game; and
- Move voting on Recommendation In-Game
This change would move 90%+ of the High Council from the forums, in game & make it possible for everyone to participate.
Please vote YES or NO based on the idea of moving recommendations & voting in-game; not on the exact specifics of how this would be done & voted on (these can be changed later if there is interest in moving recommendations in game).
The idea is any user can create a recommendation which is either for: A new feature for the game; OR A prioritization of features.
Other users can vote to make them more popular.
Each day, the most popular recommendation is put up for a three vote as a proposal.
After careful consideration of a proposal that receives 70% Yes votes the developers will then modify, approve, or reject such recommendations, as they consider best for the game they are creating.
The developers will communicate their decision for each such proposal.
- More details here:
- A user can create a new recommendation (same as mail interface):
- The user becomes the sponsor of that recommendation;
- the recommendation is assigned a unique number;
- The number is unique among both Everos & Olympus.
- A user can view the top ten recommendations;
- A user can also view any recommendation by entering its unique number;
- When viewing a recommendation a user can vote +1 to make it more popular;
- When viewing a recommendation a user can also sponsor the recommendation;
- A user can only sponsor one recommendation;
- Any recommendation with no sponsors is automatically deleted.
Voting:
- On the first cycle of each day, the most popular1 recommendation is removed as a recommendation & put up for a three day vote as a proposal;
- At any time there are three proposals being voted on;
- A user can view the three proposals being voted on;
- Eligible users2 can vote Yes or No the proposal;
- Any proposal that receives 70% Yes votes is presented to the developers.
1Either one person one vote; or a person gets to vote the number of conquest points & fame generated in the last week or so;
2Not part of this question is what does it mean to be an 'Eligible User' (Everyone? On High Council? By Guild3? Also if by Guild, does a large active guild have more votes?)
3The reason to mention guilds here, is that the developers have indicated a preference to have the High Council consists of representatives of guilds.
