We have the other difficulties of easy, normal, hard and nightmare, but coop is no longer coop, it's un-freaking-believable.
This image is almost full of lies. I was the top player with level 5 max units, and we were against level 8's and 9's+ with what seems to be amped up stats from before the update Friday.
In this screen shot it's obvious we both killed more than we died. In fact, we killed way more. We of course faced the Undead which are now past OP, they are Nightmare x5. The only reason I won the above coop was because I finally got it down to one of the ogres (2 in the unit, pinkish looking) and HI's. Killed the ogres, and kited the HIs until the time ran out.
If I didn't kite this map, we would have lost, as simple as that.
I only got xp for 3 units, 1 that fled and 2 that were kiting. The HIs on my team went down faster than LIA's that rushed my 4 archers did before Friday. These mercs are super powerful. Those ogres survived over 15 volleys of my 4 archers. That is CRAZY! Especially with one archer having a GL weapon.
I'd like to also say this was only my 2nd coop since the update, both were 2 player coops and both times my teammate got exterminated faster than a spider crawling down the barrel of a gun that is about to fire a poison tipped lead bullet.
I've been around for a while, but my troops are still roughly in the average player range. There is no longer a "gradual progression". Just a "Step right up, step right up, watch your army get slaughtered by OP'd AIs".
I checked a few other threads as well, no one seems to be able to deal with this difficulty. It's not even because of weak strategies. It just seems the NPC now almost doubles the amount of troops on the battlefield with the mercs being tank units. It'd be nice to see a merc or two on our side to kind of even that bit out. Even then, it seems the AI are getting incredible life saving rolls. 4 archers volleying should be able to kill a single LIA unit within 4 volleys. Especially with those range units having its str, missile and range nice and high.
Anyone think I am overreacting to the strength of these new NPCs?
