Please reduce PvP tiers, there are too many

Hi all, I want to express my delusion about the PvP tier system, 10 tiers are really too many, joining a tier 10 pvp is quite impossible because it requires ridiculously big armies with full godlikes of the finest kind and max upgrades...What's the purpose of having all these tiers if the matching has become terrible?

I'm strongly suggesting a tier reduction at least of 6 tiers where each tier has a bit more range of gearscores, the game experience would be smoother and the matching would still be quite fair, PvP needs a real improvement to become popular, this current tier system with 10 tiers only makes it less appealing than before, it's terribly slow...

If this suggestion doesn't reach at least one of developers eye I'll open a pool when everyone can send a vote and I'll spread my voice in every chat to ask players participate with everyone opinions about it

Maybe it would be better to have a PVP screen where you can pick your opponent and propose him a fight. That way, the "fair matching" issue would be human solved.
Downside : arranged battle amongst friends.

This would be a good idea to add when Arena will be implemented and developers will improve AI

I have already described how the mechanism will change. The Tiers will be maximum 5.

there will be 5 tiers? I actually liked the 10 tiers. The chances of me facing Dak's godlike army were eliminated. Now with 5 tiers I feel like doesn't even have to be Dakota but I get the feeling I will see a lot more gl armies. And I do remember you saying something about 5 tiers a while back. Should have said something then really.

Scaren -.- I really doubt you'll ever face full godlike armies if your gearscore will be much lower than them...please less fuel to the flames...

We are not "simply" removing 5 Tiers. Level of units will now determine the Tier an army will join.

Also, take into consideration that the level of a unit will determine the max. Gear Score a unit can have.

As you can understand matchmaking shall be a lot more balanced.

I can agree with that. Now 6 beginners LI have no chance against 3 elite LI. Bonus from lvl and research is too big.

please tell me that we'll get the ability to arrange "private" PVPs! otherwise, I'll never be able to PVP with my favorite PVPers, such as and including Fyrr... since my army is quite a few levels below his (and below the norm for my fame/player rank), and the gap will only widen!

There will be private matches alright, but not anytime soon. What is the highest level of unit that you got?

There will be 5 Tiers with a 4 level range. 1-4, 5-8, 9-12, 13-16, 17-20.

yea some of us are playing this only for the pvp side, and if you want to cut me off those nice lvl 7 lighties!... Even lvl 1 dwarf hi is OP vs my lvl 11 LIA! By default it's ok to match similar levels, but in prearranged matches, level limits ARE CRAP.

Many of us quite liked the 10 tiers, and only those who don't pvp (or don't understand tiers) complain about it. If matchmaking will be more balanced, but will take even longer than now... What's the point then, people won't pvp.

tl;dr Realf, fight me! + Rune, we need private pvps! Do that and then we don't care what happens with public pvping.

Yes you are right about that. The people who don't even pvp seem to complain the most about it. I liked the tiers. You say that bringing level 10 units against noobs was unfair. I say not at all. I believe that almost every noob I faced during noobswarm could have beat me. If they had reared my LI instead of flanked i'm sure it would have fled or at least shivered. Causing it to die. Or they would either flank or rear my LIA which would cause it to die but it would waste enough of their time. Now I may get very fed up with these new tiers very fast. Or I may even like these new tiers than the 10. Either way I found no fault with the 10 tiers. Actually liked them more than the old pvp system.
