So, as a ~~procrastinator~~ someone interested in CP, I gathered all the CPs from the top100 fame players (as of June 17th, around 4am server time), and made a list ordered by CP. [This is also a poke requesting for CP-sorting rankings].

interesting list, especially interesting to me is that many people in top 100 fame are nowhere near what I would consider to be top 100 CP for all players (regardless of fame).

So I guess a lot of people simply bought their way up? Only explanation that sounds likely to me, can't see how you can get into top 100 fame with less than 1000 CP.
30-ish Nightmare battles would already get me 1000 CP Smile

Remember that a lot of those people were already in the top 50 or so before the maximum cp of 5 points per battle was lifted.

Exactly what Piktas said, this is NOT a precise comparison, because earlier we couldn't get 40-60 CP per fight, only 2-5. A lot of players quit or became semi-inactive and have lower CP amounts, while they climbed their way through fame when the CP gains were almost insignificant compared to now.

I don't want to make a big fuss about anything here...just saying it's interesting to see. It still is a good indicator of how people gained their fame etc.

e.g, with 200 CP's, even limited to 2 CP/battle you would only have played 100 battles. I can honestly not imagine being able to gain enough fame to rank within the top 100 with only 100 battles to your name.

Again, not that I mind people e.g. buying resources, since I don't think this game has any pay-to-win problems. I'm just intrigued by the information generated by comparing CP with fame. Similarly, whenever I look at the top 100 fame list I see a lot of names I've never seen ingame (whether chat or co-op) (not even taking time-zones into account, I've played some odd hours the past few weekends). Similarly, I can imagine people having gained a lot of fame in the earlier stages of the game, now being inactive. However I would still expect that they would be caught up quickly by current active players.

In itself it's fascinating to see gaming behaviour displayed: apparently some players were either really active at first (and into the game) or liked the game enough to donate, then apparently lost interest and became inactive later. In my interpretation: doesn't matter how old you are, we still end up being little kids that quickly lose interest in their 'new' toy Razz

Well, list refreshed now, data gathered around 1:40 am server time (about a day later). This time you can check out the difference from today and yesterday.
Notes: apparently I read the input wrong for Flow yesterday, since the negative amount of CP gain. There's now 102 players, congratulations for the two new top100 Wink

(I didn't erase the two that are no longer top100).

Not sure what you talking about, so I'll answer both.
If you meant that Flow do not have a negative amount, I'm pretty sure -3900 is negative. I was talking about the CP gain and not CP total.
If you meant why does Flow have a negative amount, I already explained before: Probably I did a mis-input with his information on the first day.

Mephy, can you have database to create CP ranking for yesterday (Dark Side won few regions), i would really would like to see activity of top players (i know this ranking will consist only top 100 fame).

I have done so math based on CP rankings and. There are in this rankings:

Dark Players : 47
Light Players : 59

CP earned during last update:

Dark Side : 43952
Light Side : 47662

Active players (players who has CP more than 0)

Dark Players : 24 (23 inactive)
Light Players : 37 (22 inactive)

Average CP gained by active players

Dark side : 1831 CP
Light Side : 1288 CP
