Game freezes and the black screen of death

Recently I've had a glitch where the game will sometimes freeze in battle. If this happens in a coop I can usually reload and get back into the coop within a few seconds, so it's not that big of a deal, but it never used to happen before.

Also, after completing a battle the screen will sometimes go black when I attempt to leave the battle and return to the map screen.

I don't know what has caused this change. I do shift between fullscreen and normal mode frequently so that I can talk in Kong chat.

That's a huge deal! You say the game freezes. Do you mean flash? For instance does flash crashes or can you move the mouse around?

There is a chance of some assets to be disposed, and in that case flash loads them again. That may take some time, although the world map should appear after a sufficient amount of seconds (at most 10, usually 1-2). If it exceeds that amount then I need to unhang my musket again and do some bug hunting.

It used to do the black screen often for me on Kongregate¹ (0 to 3 times a day; 1 on average).

And switching full screen to part screen, seemed to increase the chances of it happening (on Kongregate).

Has not done once on battleconquest.com/game since Olympus open.

And I switch a lot from full screen to part screen on battleconquest.com/game; however, has not gone black ... yet ...

¹Actually I doubt it really has anything to do with Kongregate, as its probably a flash bug & would be identical via all three portals. Still just in case, I mention Kongregate as a fact -- though it is probalbly irrelevant.. Probably the bug has been partially squashed by lightshield, and it simply does not happen as often anymore.

My computer does not freeze, only the game.  I can move my mouse to close the tab and quickly load the game again.  With my computer I can load battles in a few seconds so it doesn't bother me much.

It is not a flash crash, or at least not like any flash crash I have had in the past.  The game simply freezes.

I'm using google chrome and windows 8 + classic shell.  I don't think that it's my computer, because I'm running a pretty high end gaming system.  My computer has 8 processors and 16 gigs of RAM.  I am playing on Kongregate.

It's a rare occurrence.  It only happens a few times a day, and usually occurs after I've been playing the game for a few hours.

Thank you Anduin. I forced the game to bug in my tests, and it seems that my checks weren't as bullet proof as they should. Bug should be fixed after the next patch.
