The Power of a Guild Empty
PostSubject: The Power of a Guild   The Power of a Guild I_icon_minitimeSat Sep 14, 2013 7:21 pm

I've been thinking- just how powerful are some of these guilds, really; in terms of "in-game strength".

Measuring in CPs, and measuring on the dark side due to greater imbalance between guilds-
The Fallen:
3.012.000 CPs
The Unceasing Legion:
2.250.000 CPs

Combined top two Dark Guilds:
5.265.000 CPs.

The NEXT (by fame) 30 top dark guilds:
850.000
320.000
440.000
130.000
230.000
40.000
120.000
70.000
66.000
70.000
28.000
37.000
22.000
41.000
12.000
27.000
10.000
27.000
10.000
20.000
50.000
16.000
17.000
40.000
8.000
11.000
24.000
18.000
12.000
2.000

COMBINED OUTPUT:
top 10 "thirty next dark guilds" alone:
2.106.000 CPs
all the "thirty next dark guilds":
2.538.000 CPs.

Dark guilds ranked #3-#32 combined have fewer CPs than the top Dark guild. For further reference- of "un-guild-ed" players, those without guilds- there are only 5 dark players with 25k plus CPs; ranged in order by fame:
41.000
42.000
52.000
55.000
30.000
Combined total for Dark Players without guilds, with significant influence:
220.000 CPs

ADDED to the top 30 total above (once again, ranked among the dark guilds #3-#32) it makes:
2.758.000 CPs, still significantly fewer CPs than a single Dark Guild has.

My observations based upon that fact are-
1) BLOODY awesome job, Top Dark Guild The Fallen!

2) While some people may disagree, it would seem evident that it truly IS possible for a single guild to, in actual fact have the "power" to hold it's own against, if not 100% of the opposite faction at least a significant minority or possibly majority; given that it would seem that roughly 30% of all dark CPs are owned by a single guild. Some may call this unfair, given that it makes all the effort placed by "most" players seem to be worth little to nothing, however, to quote a rather awesome character from a great anime*

"high enough numbers make you invincible. MMO's that use a level system are unfair that way."

While BC doesn't use the "standard" level system, there is still a level based "CP gain limiter" which works in exactly the same way; I can, as a high-level player (level 19 Barracks At this moment) gain as many CPs in a single fight, as 20 low level, newbies can gain.

*the main character of Sword Art Online, Kirito, states this after proving impervious to attacks by a small group of "evil" players- his regen skill regenerates more HP per second than they could as a group deal in damage.

It's going to be far different on this side; for starters, our top two guilds are (At the moment) within 100k CPs of each other. For another thing, we have 3 guilds with more than 1m CPs each.

AND

we have overall far more "high-end" guilds, by CP count.

There will, however still be a degree of imbalance, just not nearly as much.

But, I don't have the time at this moment to do all that counting for light side! Wink

I think it might be worth noting (although not easy to find & calculate)

The amount of those CP's that belong to currently 'active' players.

and the CP:Fame ratio of each player, and the CP:Player ratio for each guild.
