The dev mentioned that their will be skills in the other slots based on stuff you equip? Dunno if that means adding new special items but it seems it could be applied to what we have now maybe. Like your armor slot can hold either a shield or piece of armor, maybe these would grant different skills based on the unit ? Axes/Swords/Hammers could be the same way ? Since that adds alot of options the passives would need to be somewhat minor. Would like to see this applied to heroes more than anything, give them more incentive for equipping gear.
