What are the odds for which race you fight?

Devs-

What are the odds of each race being picked for you to vs. against?

For instance, when you are on a "normal" hex, and choose coop or PVE, do you have a 33.3% chance of Undead, Dark Legion, or Orc?
Or is it something much closer to my personal experience of "15% Orc, 25% Dark Legion, and 60% Undead"?

Also, when you are on a Guild Wars hex (where your guild has an order) what are the odds then?

Is it an even 16.7% chance for each race (1/6th)?
Or is it something much closer to my personal experience of "10% Light, 15% Orc, 25% Dark Legion, and 50% Undead"?

If you've not noticed based upon my theory of what I fight against, I'm getting tired of seeing Skeletons all the time- given that I know for a fact that at least one of my "army" layouts will not defeat them at this point. :-/
And given that my best layout (it's the only one I trust in PVP!) is taking horrible losses from Skeletons, and I've been having to use my archers in melee EVERY TIME!

Hmmm- As a random question, would it be possible to make a "GW hex" have something like a 60% chance (or even higher) of facing your own faction? I mean, we've got tons of locations where we can face the opposing faction, and it's really fun to fight your own faction for a change...

Well I think that it is likely 1/6th for each (take care randoms won't care about the 5 previous fights to spawn one or another race), and well I suppose you "love" fighting vs. undeads, and consider the fact that you'll remember more then elves or humans ("easier for flying reason"). So you'll think you saw more undeads weather you didn't. And to do statistics you'll need a lot of data around 200 to 500 to have something showing really the reality of the random low for the race spawned.

i just had 5 undead in a row My record is at 8 undead in a row, not counting some bug that put me to 10 undead in a row. And i dont like to fight undead either, they are the worst an elf can face imho

i suggest devs make a special title to you, "the paladin"! lol!

No kidding, from last 8 battles i had undead 7 times. I think there is something broken about it, when you attack same tile over and over again the chances to face undead kinda shift to more. That one non undead battle i had of 8 last ones was on a different tile.

Sometimes I have the same problem but with dwarf instead of undead.

i belive that chances are the same. Everyone remembers only the hardest opponents. Sometimes i have a feeling too that i meet only dwarfes

To keep the diversity, how about a script modifying the chance to face certain enemies depending on last 3 or 5 games? Lets say you have fought 3 times orcs and 2 times undead - next battle chance to face orcs is 20%, undead 30% and dark legion 50%. Something similar at least, maybe only applicable to solo and not coops.

This would be an EXCELLENT idea! Actually, this kind of idea is something along the lines of what I would like.... (plus, of course the ability to actually face your own faction occasionally... I "enjoy" the change of pace; and given the fact that I still ALMOST ALWAYS face undead- even on Guild Wars squares; (I've not had a Light V Light for about 2 weeks, and I most certainly recall them well when I have them, because I love the change of pace. And that's with probably 20+ fights on GW squares.)

Actually, this post was started because I got frustrated after 3 in a row Undead, left for the day, came back the next day, and my first 2 matches were Undead, leaving me at 5-0 undead. :-/

Here are real numbers for the ppl that dont notice the pattern. Today so far 16 NM solo matches.

I dont care if next 10 matches become Orc or Dl. But the last thing i want to face in a row is undead, its depressing and way out of proportions. So even if the chances are same for any race to appear - repetitive appearance of same race is not good, not good at all. Fix that please. As Rflant already said it takes a lot of fun out of the game.

The game was reloaded and i even switched tile just to face another undead horde

@Realf: You can face your own faction by fighting on a hex that has no enemy activity. (ie Not near the front lines).

This is of course counter productive to the goal of your entire faction, but there is occasionally a reason to do so.

I barely encounter Dwarves, mostly I encounter Elves, and in between is human.
I like battling Dwarves the most, they are slow and it will take faster to hunt them down.

After a day or two of truly mixed enemies (even a fair bit of my beloved lighties!)

why, oh why, do I have to repeat skeletons again and again and again and again?!?

as Tibr suggested; there should really be a "check" that keeps a single race from being repeated.

In the interim, once again-

Over my past 54 fights, 28 of them have been Undead.

Which is 51.8%. (for the purposes of game balance I would have expected this to be closer to 33%).

Perhaps this might level out, I will keep tracking.

Still not sure what determines what races you fight.

It makes it increasingly frustrating as Undead are still by far the strongest of the 3 Dark races. Almost all of my Nightmare wipes\losses have been vs Undead.

And people wonder why the Light Faction is not gaining ground faster.

HERE YOU GO!

Takes me, a Dwarf, the longest to heal after an undead fight. Mind you that is about 1 minute extra at this point, but previously it was 7-10 minutes extra, each and every fight. 2-3 undead battles in a row and your out for 15-20 minutes :-P

Actually I have to fight never ever vs. Skeletons. Even in GW.
