Devs on vacation?

Just check RuneSlayers profile. 2 days without posts. And there are some threads in bugs and suggestions that have not seen any response from the devs at all.

Comparing this with the usual frequenzy RS and the others react to feedback and keep the communication with the community at a really high level, which we really appreciate by the way, is there a reason behind this?

Are you guys on Bora Bora enjoying cocktails from the gems we bought? Or are you just knee deep (not RS of course, Dwarfs don´t have knees) in work with the next layer of GW that you don´t find your way to the forum anymore? We would be glad to hear from you again, the longer it takes the more will you swim in open questions, bug reports and so on Twisted Evil

Funny that you made a post about this me and Souless were talking about this yesterday. We were both wondering why the devs were being silent on the forum. If the devs would just say that we are deep in work I would be fine with that but not replying is just not good Sad

There's a thing called "weekend"...
..and they successfully released the 1st GW layer, thus deserving some rest.
And they're busy with other things to post frequently.
They promised pvp tiers recently, so I guess they ran into some major problems with that, which they didn't expect.
Finally, maybe Rune isn't always in a mood to read and respond to all this talk =)

(I spent all WEEK without posting here and I used to post frequently, so what?.. It's not like a few days without posting is such a crime or they totally forgot us)

Of course we may WANT them to be online 24/7, but not gonna happen.

A very reasonable explanation but if Runeslayer could come on and explain it to us I would of course not bother the devs.

If you read my post again, nowhere is any hint that I do begrudge them for taking deserved time of. They are doing an amazing job, and in that there is the old saying and the are "Victims to their own success". Wink

Weekend, well 2 days ago there was no weekend but that´s another topic. It is just that I (and some of the others obviously) am not used to see so many threads wait unanswered for some days. And there are some that are about really annoying topics, which would be probably solved by a simple "We are aware and on it!".

Summed up, we were spoiled with at least RS being here all the time and providing us with anything important and making sure we feel like our problems are at least heard. So it would be nice if they would once again show up more often. Twisted Evil

A good idea indeed- after all, then we wouldn't have to worry about the terrible lag which comes with weekend internect connections, when EVERYBODY and their brother is online. Wink

Truth be told, some members of the team will be away on vacation for the next 5 days. However, the rest of us will continue working on the game..

As in the next 4 weeks BC will launch in two more sites and an additional promotion has been set by Kongregate, we are preparing the system to cope with the extra...traffic...

Therefore, next week has been reserved for bug hunting, battle optimization and if there is enough time, some changes in graphics.

The first layer of GW went fine with no problems, which proves that it is better to delay something than launch it in a hurry and have tons of bugs...

Personally, for the past 4 days, hence my "disappearance", I've been working on some...magic... Something that will take the game to the next level..I can't share it yet..but I promise that if it goes through, the BC community will be the first to know...before the press. Wink

If you mean mods for the chats, they should not be named only by the devs since I doubt they monitor the chats that deep and might not know who would be a good choice but the community should have a big part on who gets that power!!! That way it will for sure be someone that is respected by the factions. Else it might happen that players leave not because of the game but such a small mistake.

williumwall, I know what you mean, about that "have noobs looking up to me finally" part... I was part of the "hot new games" noob rush, became one of the small percentage of very active players, who switch from noob to Not Noob, and then there was nobody below me, to look up when I got to the top. Wink

(not that I'm at the top yet... but high enough to look down at underlings below me, with a smile on my face, remembering my days as a young newbie!

no most new players are trolls or spammers or just exuse my language gerks and wimps in co-op and pvp (scaren knows who I am talking about). But Runeslayer the game has players but only half play at least once a day. Also, do you have to bring in magic? Could you just bring wizards because magic kind of messes up games just look at fantacy online!!!!! But a troop would be cool Smile

also Runeslayer is it against the law in he game to speak my native language?

Well not like that. But they might make a poll for some days f.e. with candidates they would think are trustworthy and might be accepted by the community and that way at least get some feedback what we would like. I am sure there are more options on the light side than one. Wink

In the end it is as always up to the devs, but it would be nice to have our voices heard in something that effects us all every time we log in and not be force fed.

But maybe this should be another topic when the time comes, I guess chat mods are not top prio right now. Very Happy
