| Breaking items and forging items are the big ones, but rarely the game takes a massive dump when repairing. When forging more then 1 item the game gets some hiccups and takes a minute in between, after 3 items being forged it takes a good 5 min dump before it catches up, or the game crash's.
Breaking items is painfully bad, after breaking the first item you get a slight bit of hiccups, but break anything past that and it takes minutes to catch up if it doesn't just crash. The more you break in any iteration it pretty much doubles the time or as stated before crash's your game.

| I have noticed similar symptoms - though not as bad as 1-3mins. Usually in the 15-30sec range and sometimes up to 1min. I do remember it seemed to be worse when I had more items.
The workaround I use is just to reload the whole game.

| But it does...You are not supposed to "refresh" all the time to play the game.. | |

True. The problem seems to come from the fact that the game does a full refresh (DB query?) of all items in the player's inventory after every break/salvage operation. "Not a programmer" disclaimer applies to this post. By comparison, repairing items is very fluid because items are not removed from view. Maybe theres a way to have the game only mark the item as "broken/uninteractiable" but it doesnt require a full DB query to refresh our items? This "DB refresh" is what takes a long time - especially when a player has a large number of items. As a side note, this "DB refresh" seems to happen whenever players try to use an item filter and that can be a slow process too.

| We believe we know the source of the problem. We couldn't do something about it the last 4 days because the huge changes we are doing for the upcoming "performance boost" were creating some conflicts with the crafting system, so we had to finish it first, then compile and then check the problem. It should be resolved very very soon. | |

| We believe the issue is resolved. From now on the item in the list just gets removed.
I didn't notice any serious hiccups in my tests though, but after the fix I didn't notice any hiccups at all. It will be live in the next patch.
Thank you for the reports!

| I agree with Hegorn, it's a vast improvement from before. Was finally able to break everything I couldn't use/sell and was unmolested by the lag spiking/crashing. Much appreciated! | |

| Don't thank us for something that it should have been working like that from the beginning. | |

| Heh. We cant always expect to get everything right the first time we do it.
Design, prototype, get feedback, repeat.
We can thank you for doing that well, right?
