Changing the status (everyone can see it/battle status too)

Currently, only people in your guild can see if you are online and they only see this if you are online and not in a battle. I think that there should be a different status other than just online or offline which is "In Battle", this will make it a lot easier to see if someone has actually gone offline or is just battling instead of checking each minutes every time they battle. I also think that players outside of each other's guilds should be able to see if another player is online, I can't think of any reason to why this is not the case but it just means that if you need to talk to someone, you have to ask a player in their guild if they're online instead of just being able to check yourself.

This would be an excellent change, Mdaborn. (It could appear in the player ranking window as well as the guild ranking window, so unaffiliated players could be tracked, as well.) The two modes you suggest would be extremely useful: "battling" and "online."

I recommend a third mode to solve issues brought up long ago: the last date signed in if offline. This would make it possible to know just from looking at the player rankings whether or not a player is active or just an empty shell wasting space in the rankings. (A boon for recruiters.)

I commend the developers for the Faction buttons in the ranking windows. If there is no room for these modes, why not make it yet another button?

While I personally have no problem with anyone knowing I'm online, I can see circumstances where people might.  This being said,  how about user selectable visibility?  People click a button to play "now you see me, now you don't" with the global population.  Allowing for Online, Offline, Opted Out Statuses.
