| This suggestion is instead of assigning a 10%-25% bonus to a side when the conquest points are unbalanced.
When conquest points are unbalanced, the side with the smaller amount of conquest points can bribe members from the other side to betray their faction & switch sides:
- Each member would have a set cost (resources & gems) required to be allowed to betray (the higher the fame & heros, the higher the resource & gems required)
- Each member of the other faction can use the ranking cup to look up members -- their cost to betray & how much has been contributed already
- They can then add their contribution
- Once the full cost is ready -- the member being bribed is offered the choice to accept or not & has 24 hours to decide
- If the the betrayal is accepted - half the resources go to the betraying member & half go *poof*
- If the betrayal is rejected, or not accepted in 24 hours; all resources & gems are refunded to the contributors on the opposite faction
- Once enough members have betrayed their faction (as calculated by conquest points that currently gives a bonus) -- all pending bribes are automatic canceled; all resources & gems [per automatically canceled bribe] are refunded to the contributors on the opposite faction.

Result of betrayal:
- The member loses all units who abandon the member in disgust & horror (but keeps all items & heros).
- Mercenaries hired with gems are kept -- however Mercenaries due to a bonus guild (hired with gold) cancel their contracts instantly, and do not give a refund;
- The member loses all conquest points but keeps all fame (editorial comment: perhaps infamy is a better word now!)
- All conquest points on previous regions are removed (but guild influence is left)
- The member chooses a new race on the other side
- The member is branded with the title 'Betrayer'. This title cannot be removed until 2 weeks have passed & 300 battles fought. After that it is optional title the member may choose like other titles.
Well those are the game results ... the political intrigue & results are ... interesting to contemplate ... Suggested costs: 10x their fame in each resource + (all hero's AP * 1000) & 1/10th their fame +all hero's AP in gems. NOTE: I had promised Fyrr, about 6 weeks ago, when the dark side had a bonus, I would come up with a more game oriented way of balancing than a conquest point bonus. Hence this post. Sorry its late!!

| Probably the most thought out thing you have done Joyce.
I like it, I like balancing the sides. But maybe someway to get back to your old side? Also I think losing ALL your CP would completely suck. What if (EXAMPLE) Est was completely bored of light, and wanted to spice things up. He switches to dark but loses ALL his CP. That is ALOT of CP.
Also I think all of the bribe should go to the betraying member, that is why you are betraying in the first place, right?
