hello, this is Arvaxus. I am currently having the same issue in chat. My in game mail works currently. I switched computers and this did not help the problem. thanks!

After further investigation with the assistance of Andrea, this came up to be a server issue.
This is extremely rare and it will be resolved temporarily with the next patch.
More updates on this will come since we need to monitor the situation further.
